On January 10, Golf Son Muntaner became the epicenter of high-level networking. The first edition of the Mallorca Real Estate Golf Cup by BARNES Mallorca, organized by Borbalan, Grup Serra, and Mariana Chacón, confirms that sports and business form the perfect pairing on the island.

It is not just golf; it is a statement of intent. If the Mallorca Real Estate Summit had already established itself as the essential forum for thought and debate for the sector, the Mallorca Real Estate Golf Cup by BARNES Mallorca was born to be its social soul. Under the winter sun of a splendid Saturday at Son Muntaner, real estate leaders, architects, developers, and figures from the Balearic business fabric swapped suits for polo shirts and meeting rooms for the green.

An organization at the service of networking

The success of the gathering is no accident. The alliance between Borbalan, Grup Serra, and Mariana Chacón has once again demonstrated its capacity to mobilize the key players of the Balearic economy. The event organization took care of every detail to foster what really mattered: the connection between people.

From the welcome breakfast to the cocktail following the awards ceremony, the atmosphere breathed that mix of healthy competitiveness and camaraderie that only sport manages to unlock. As the organizers pointed out, the goal was to create “an annual meeting point where leisure and business flow naturally,” and judging by the business cards exchanged and the conversations on the Son Muntaner terrace, the goal was achieved with flying colors.

If there was a protagonist that shone with its own light—beyond the sporting winners—it was BARNES Mallorca.
As the main sponsor (Main Sponsor), the luxury real estate firm not only lent its name to the tournament, but imbued the day with its brand values: excellence, exclusivity, and art de vivre.

The first edition of the Mallorca Real Estate Golf Cup by BARNES Mallorca counted, furthermore, on the backing of co-sponsors such as CMV Arquitectos, DIG Investment and Range Rover, whose involvement was key for the correct development of the day and reinforced the premium positioning of the event.

Chronicle of a day to remember

The tournament, played under the individual Stableford format, started on time with the “rocket start” (shotgun) at 09:00 hours. The players enjoyed a course in unbeatable conditions, facing the technical challenges of Son Muntaner while sharing drives and putts.

But the true prize came after the 18th hole. The club’s terrace hosted a lively cocktail where the best plays were discussed and, above all, the perspectives for the year beginning were projected. The awards ceremony put the finishing touch on a day that, without a doubt, already has its date reserved on the 2027 calendar.

Prizes, design and celebration

The day concluded with the awards ceremony and a raffle among the participants, in which exclusive gifts contributed by the tournament collaborators were distributed. One of the most outstanding moments was the special prize for the “nearest to the pin,” which went to the More armchair, a piece of artisanal design created by Adriane Escarfullery and valued at 3,500 euros—a work that connects design, interior design, and architecture, disciplines closely linked to the real estate sector.

Once the trophy presentation concluded, the raffle for gifts took place. Among others, the winners received a tasting menu from Schwaiger, green fees for the three courses at Arabella Golf Resort, baskets with products from Bodegas Macià Batle, a pendant from Isabel Guarch, a selection of wines courtesy of Vinámica, and vouchers from ONA Clinic Mallorca, Clínica Savios, BrassClub, Adelfas by Jens, Hospes Maricel & Spa, Kimpton Aysla Mallorca (and Maison Codage), Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Mallorca, Nixe Palace, Janina Restaurant, Castell Son Claret (Olivera restaurant), and an experience package at Zoëtry Mallorca.
