Blau Projects. Full-scale blueprints.

A groundbreaking initiative.

There are people with extraordinary abilities. For example, some can read a map and interpret it correctly. It seems like a simple matter, but when road trips were made without GPS, the arguments caused by the different interpretations of the pilot and co-pilot resulted in disputes that lasted longer than the trip itself. There are also individuals capable of interpreting a blueprint, a simple drawing on a piece of paper full of lines that represents the place where you will live for the next few years. They possess an admirable spatial ability, especially for those of us who lack it.

Blau Projects, the company founded by Jaume Payeras just six months ago, aims to assist those of us who, like myself, struggle to interpret a blueprint accurately. Blau offers an immersive experience of the architectural project to be developed, thanks to its proprietary technology that enables you to virtually walk through the house with complete realism. The idea originated in the United States, where employing this technology prior to embarking on any real estate venture is commonplace.

The blueprints evolve from unintelligible drawings for the layman to a life-size walkthrough of the layout and measurements of the property before it is constructed, facilitating much better decision-making. They transform from simple drawings into a revealing experience of what the different spaces will be like, incorporating the possibility of including furniture to ensure the final result is optimal.

Through this method and due to the comprehensive representation, the client experiences the spaces as they will appear once the house is completed, which alleviates doubts and uncertainties while simultaneously enhancing their trust in the final product. It also optimises time and costs, as unforeseen events and modifications are minimised thanks to the ability to make changes and adjustments before the construction of the house progresses. Cost overruns and delays are no longer issues impeding the development of the construction.

Blau’s clients include not only the end customer, the home buyer, but also developers, architects, and designers, providing them with a differentiating and highly useful tool. While renders were the innovative breakthrough that changed how real estate projects were presented in the past, the technology that Blau offers today is the essential element for transforming professional presentations. Decision-making that once relied on imagined assumptions now evolves into a fully realistic interpretation of what the final outcome will look like. Adjusting spaces, measurements, or selecting furniture no longer presents an almost esoteric challenge for those of us lacking spatial abilities; instead, it becomes a matter of seeing reality and analysing the final result without artifice.

Blau has its facilities in the Son Bugadelles industrial estate, in the heart of the MADD district, a location aligned with the values promoted by the association. An open-plan building that facilitates the recreation of all types of dwellings and constructions. No more disproportionate kitchens, dead spaces, or unliveable rooms. The technology provided by Jaume Payeras’ company equips the client—whether a developer, an architect, or the end buyer—with the means to ensure that the project they are working on is as close as possible to their true desires. It is no longer necessary to wait for a show flat to be completed, in the case of a large development, before fully understanding what the final result will be. Blau offers the tools to ascertain firsthand whether the decisions, ideas, and hopes that we incorporate into the construction of a house are correct and aligned with our wishes.

Blau is a very young company with significant capacity for innovation and is already working on the next technological advancements it can offer, such as immersive virtual reality and the use of artificial intelligence at all levels.
